Indian-script typing without a keyserver
Search intent is still “English to Hindi typing” and “namaste in Hindi,” plus the same job in Tamil, Telugu, and the rest. Most pads call a hosted IME. This one is a longest-match phonetic table in the tab. Pick the script. Type namaste → नमस्ते (Hindi) or நமஸ்தே (Tamil). After first load, the service worker can keep the page for offline use with other first-party tools.
Worked example: namaste, dhanyavaad
namaste and dhanyavaad (or dhanyavad). If a conjunct looks wrong, add the virama explicitly with a consonant cluster (ksha → क्ष / க்ஷ).
Worked example: retroflex and Tamil zh
Capital T D N L map to ट ड ण ळ (and the matching letters in the other Brahmic scripts). paani vs paaNi is dental n vs ण. Tamil thamizh is தமிழ்.

Does this call Google Input Tools?
No. Mapping runs in indic-ime.js in this tab. After the page (and SW cache) loads, airplane mode still types.
Which languages?
Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit, Nepali (Devanagari), Gujarati, Punjabi (Gurmukhi), Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam. Urdu / Perso-Arabic is a different engine and is not here.
Which scheme?
Phonetic: ka/kha, aa, ii, sh/shh. Not a full InScript keyboard. Capital T/D/N are retroflex. Tamil zh is ழ. Share the script with #indic-script=ta in the address bar.
Marathi / Sanskrit / Nepali?
Same Devanagari letters as Hindi. Vocabulary is yours. ळ is capital L.
Candidates / ambiguity?
This version commits the longest match. If “dev” should have been देव vs डेव, edit the output. Tamil ண is capital N (vaNakkam).
