About
I run Privy Tools. It is a static site of small calculators and converters that do the job in this tab, with a dated source when a rate or slab is involved.
Why this exists
I kept hitting the same loop: need a GST split, an EMI, a word count, or a JWT payload; open a page; wait out five ad slots; get blocked by “sign up free”; paste a number I would rather not give a lead-gen form. The arithmetic was never the hard part. The hard part was finding a page that would just do it.
So I built the version I wanted to use. There is no account. There is no email wall. Type the input, read the result, close the tab. If a tool is wrong, use Share feedback rather than discover it in a one-star review.
Who I am (and am not)
I am one person shipping a static site. I am not a CA, a tax practitioner, a bank, UIDAI, or a law firm. Trust is supposed to come from View source, the compute log, and a government link with a date.
India financial tools are the point of the site: GST after the 2025 rate rationalisation, old vs new tax regime on one CTC, IFSC lookups, income tax on taxable income. PDF merge, JWT decode, and word count are here because I use them weekly and they follow the same local-compute rule. The rest of the catalog is the same kind of page: type, get a result, leave. None of it is a filing or professional advice.
What “runs in the browser” means here
Calculator scripts do not POST your GST amount, CTC, JWT, or PDF to a Privy Tools server. That is the promise. It is not “100% offline” and it is not “zero tracking.” If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics and AdSense load. IFSC lookups hit an outside bank-branch directory. A few tools load pdf-lib, Chart.js, or a Markdown parser from a file host so the feature can exist at all. Each of those exceptions is on the tool’s trust rail. The longer version is in What “runs in the browser” does and does not mean.
What a result is not
A number on this site is a fast estimate so you can argue with payroll, a landlord, or an invoice. It is not a filing, a sanction letter, a KYC check, or professional advice. Surcharge, cess, HSN, employer PF, and floating rates will disagree with simplified models. If a figure looks off, use Share feedback with the tool URL and the source you are using.
Get in touch
Bugs, wrong slabs, and tool ideas: Share feedback on the homepage. The contact page is the short version; privacy is what actually leaves the device.
Ads and analytics only load if you allow them in the cookie banner. That choice is separate from how the calculators work.
